Penny For Your Thought
Sorry for the camera snaps but I like them better this way. I've been keeping a file open while I work on other stuff to quickly jot down any random ideas I have.

More Ballpoint Pen doodling
It's nice to sit and draw at a kitchen table and have some cheesy Easter films playing in the background. I'm trying out Sketchbook Pro on my old laptop. If I'm happy with the result I'll post it soon. A few more days and I will be reunited with my trusty set-up. Just about enough time to wear out my ballpoint pens.

Ballpoint Pen Madness
I love just doodling away with a simple ballpoint pen. No erasing, no undo button, I just have to make my mistakes work. My laptop is starting to really struggle with Photoshop so soon I might only be able do pen sketches until I get reunited with my trusty PC... I miss that beast!

Mech thumbnails
high-res version
A black ballpoint pen and three pieces A4 Paper later. I moved recently to a studio space I share with friends. This means my PC and Wacom are not available to me at home anymore. It felt really good to crank out these thumbnails on paper again. Sketching with a ballpoint can be though because you have to commit to you lines. I left all the mistakes in, let me know which one is you favorite.

Pen Sketches (for sale)

It was about time I scanned something. These are done straight on paper with a ballpoint pen. I actually barely use pencils anymore. Somhow the pen feels better when sketching and mistakes can be lucky accidents...Anyway, the two are for sale. The originals are 150,- euro's each. Mail me if you are interested.

Post-Apoc Scavenger
I saw "The Road" recently and I was quite taken by the atmosphere and visuals. No big SFX but a subtle view of a world gone bad. I have a passion for everything post-apocalyptic, I can't wait for the zombies to knock on my door.Anyway, this character is a good old red-neck scavenger, looking for some human flesh ;)

Sketchbook Scans - Train People

This is a collection of some of the sketches I made during a long train ride. They're all actual people, though some have been exaggerated a bit. For the first I used a Tradio Stylo pen, second one is done with a Pentel GFKP pen. Both on Windsor & Newton paper.
